THE HOPE(S) MODEL OF CARE
The HOPES model of care helps people who are in hospital or in long-term seclusion. It is a Human Rights’ based approach, shared with us.
H stands for understanding what people want who are in hospital and how staff work with them to get it
O stands for making sure people have time to do activities they want to do, get to spend time with other people and changing the ward so it better suits the people living there
P stands for Understanding what makes people Keep calm, happy and safe
E stands for making sure there are good and safe plans in place for times when things are difficult
